This girl power band is a sister act between Allison and Catherine Pierce, who in my opinion complement each other perfectly. Their genre being sort of psychedelic folk rock is something to look forward to. Not quite sure of the genre at hand, but if it had to be, the pierces would define it.
They are fantastic with their style of music, always coming up with a new track to obsess about. Subtle hints of their music being a little dark at times, is what makes them so interesting. Incredible voice and talent, their sound is truly distinctive. The Pierces quickly became one of my favorites.
I first fell in love with their music after hearing “We are stars”. It is bands like these that should be in the major leagues. Their latest track “You’ll Be Mine”, is brilliant, and for some reason I cannot stop hitting the repeat button.
I find only fitting to put their acoustic live versions, which exhibits their pure talent and soulful sound.
And just to show how different they can be, "Boring" is another track, which sounds like the perfect theme song for a James Bond movie.
